If you have been listening to the National media news stories you would think that the housing industry is falling apart. But, they are quoting National averages that that have been seriously impacted by a limited number of local market areas that had crazy double digit appreciation for several years and prices in those areas are now dropping back to the levels of 2003. Many of these same areas experienced a high volume of sub-prime mortgages that are now resulting in foreclosures. Buyers are missing out on the excellent buyers market conditions in Atlanta because they THINK prices are falling and this is not the case. Because of the credit crisis caused by the sub-prime mortgage mess interest rates are going up so, don't wait.
